Samantha's Vacay Pics Remind Us To Plan A Trip With Our BFFs

Days after announcing her temporary break from movies,  actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu is vacationing in Bali with her friend Anusha Swamy. The actor who has wrapped up Citadel shooting has been posting some amazing pictures from her vacation.

In a carousel post, Prabhu’s first photo showed a glimpse of her standing outdoors, immersed in the greenery around her. She was wearing a white string top and matching shorts and completed the look with a hat that read "Dream on". The second picture showed her holding the railing as she looked at nature. Prabhu also shared a selfie with her travel buddy, aka friend, Anusha Swamy.

The post reminded me of the significance of travelling with your girlfriend or girl gang at least once a year. Women tend to lose touch after graduating college, moving to different cities for work, and, of course, marriage. You inherently begin to prioritise other things in life, so spending quality time with friends often takes a backseat.

Here are five reasons why you should go on a trip with your BFF or girl gang.

Your Space

Since it’s just girls, there’s no one around to decide what you should wear, where you should go, who you should talk to, what you should do, and so on and so forth. Be it a staycation, an adventure trip, or a vacation with lots of travelling, a trip with women is a perfect opportunity to live our lives to the fullest. It’s your gang, and no one’s going to judge you for the things you do. In fact, they are going to encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and explore. You can do the silliest thing and be your messiest self and still not be judged.

It’s a beautiful way to connect with your girlfriends on a deeper level. Owing to various responsibilities, you might not have as much time to connect as you did before. The stories that you’ve never gotten around to telling them and the secrets that you’ve buried deep inside you come out when you’re travelling with your friends. These aren’t things that might easily spring out over a phone conversation or during a sleepover. The most intimate conversations can happen when you travel, bringing you and your friends even closer than before.

Sisterhood

Sisterhood can be developed even when you don’t necessarily travel, but it reaches a whole new level when you travel together. You are on this trip with the people you call your inner circle. These are people who get you, value you, appreciate you, and have your back no matter what. With sisterhood comes a sense of belonging, a comfort zone, and building a solid support system. What’s even better than solidifying that bond? Besides, imagine how empowering it would be to travel with women, both for yourself and for the people around you.

Healing and Transformative

When you’re travelling with your best friend or friends, you don’t necessarily have to have an itinerary. Sometimes travelling with your girl pal(s) can just be a healing and transformative journey. You’re probably stuck with something in your life, and all you would want to do is talk your heart out, let go of something from the past, and try to figure out what next to do in life.

From clicking dozens of photos of you, making funny reels, helping you shop for clothes while still holding you back from turning into a shopaholic, dressing up, binge eating exotic food, and making sure one of them is having an eye out, girl pals can be the best travel buddies. What’s better than making treasure-worthy memories?
