"There Are Hard Feelings," Samantha Ruth Prabhu Talks About Her Divorce On Koffee With Karan

Samantha Ruth Prabhu talks about divorce with ex Naga Chaitanya on Koffee With Karan season 7's episode 3 that aired on Disney Plus Hotstar on Thursday. The celebrated couple separated ways back in October 2021 which came as a shock to their fans.

Koffee With Karan host has asked many difficult questions, encroached controversial incidents for stirring answers. When Samantha Ruth Prabhu was announced to be making her debut on the show making an appearance in episode three, the audience expected familiar questions that they were waiting to be answered. The trailer of the episode gave a glimpse of Karan Johar asking Samantha Ruth Prabhu about her divorce with actor Naga Chaitanya. She dodged the question blaming the host for unhappy marriages in the trailer but in the full episode, she opened up about it.

In the episode three of Koffee With Karan, Karan Johar asked Prabhu, "In your case, I think you were the first when you and your husband decided to part ways.... Did you feel a lot of trolling was a result of you putting yourself out there?" She even interrupted Johar mid-sentence to clear that he was her 'ex-husband' now and went on to say, "Yes, I can't complain about it because I chose that path to be transparent and when the separation happened I couldn't be too upset about it because they invested in my life. I didn't had answers at that time. It has been hard but it's good now. I am stronger."

She didn't hesitate to accept that she and Naga Chaitanya were not on good terms on being asked by Karan Johar. She stated, "There are hard feelings like if you put the both of us in a room you have to hide sharp objects. So as of now, yes. It's not an amicable situation right now. It might be in the future." This indicated that the couple has unsettled issues between them and as for now, they cannot stand each other's presence.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their divorce in 2021 and made official statements on their social media handles about continuing their friendship. However, Prabhu later on deleted her divorce statement sparking speculations of getting back together. Both the actors have not revealed much about the reason behind their divorce so far.
