Samantha Ruth Prabhu Hits Back At Troll Claiming Actor "Lost Her Charm"

Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Monday expressed her thoughts after a verified Twitter handle claimed that she lost her ‘charm and glow’ after her myositis diagnosis.

The actor was attending the trailer launch of her upcoming film Shaakuntalam. The Twitter handle posted Samantha's pictures from the trailer launch with an insensitive tweet that read: "Feeling sad for Samantha. She lost all her charm and glow. When everyone thought she came out of divorce strongly and her professional life is seeing heights, myositis hit her badly, making her weak again."

Samantha Hits Back At Troll

Samantha responded to the remark politely while pointing out the indifferent and insensitive nature of the post. “I pray you never have to go through months of treatment and medication like I did. And here’s some love from me to add to your glow,” she wrote.

Last year, Samantha revealed that she was under treatment for the autoimmune disease myositis. She had uploaded a photo from the hospital along with a note that read, "The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes."

The actor also dubbed for her previous film Yashoda when she was under treatment for myositis.

The Shaakuntalam trailer launch was the first media event that she attended after opening up about her health condition. The actor wore a stunning ivory-coloured saree and accessorised her look with glasses. The event was held in Hyderabad. Upon the trailer release, she said, "No matter how many struggles I face in life, one thing won’t change. That’s how much I love cinema and cinema loves me back. I strongly believe that this love will grow manifold with Shaakuntalam."
