It was reported that Prabhu commented to The Siasat Daily, "I’m not bothered as to who is in a relationship with whom. Those who don’t know the value of love will be left in tears, irrespective of the number of people they date. I hope at least that girl will be happy. If he changes his behaviour and looks after the girl without hurting her, it’ll be good for everyone."
After the comment spread through the internet, Prabhu retweeted the alleged comment and wrote, "I never said this!"
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in October 2017 after falling in love on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010. After being married for four years, they announced their separation in October 2021 on their respective social media handles.
Prabhu recently faced a health setback after she was diagnosed with myositis, an auto-immune disease. After a short break, she emerged stronger and is now looking forward to the release of her much-anticipated film, Shaakuntalam. The film is helmed by Gunasekhar, and actor Dev Mohan plays alongside Prabhu. The movie is all set to hit theatres on April 14 in three languages: Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
Fans are in for a visual treat as Prabhu is playing the lead in the Indian version of Citadel alongside Varun Dhawan, created by Raj and DK. The series is jointly produced by D2R Films and Amazon Studios and is part of the global "Citadel Universe." This will be Prabhu's second Hindi series following her acclaimed role as Raji in Family Man 2.
Prabhu will also next be seen in the Telugu film Khushi opposite Vijay Devarakonda.
