In the new season of The Family Man, Akkineni plays the role of a woman named Raji who works in a garment factory. To play the role realistically, the actor actually learnt the art of weaving at an actual garment factory and took help from her co-workers at the factory to ace her role.
According to reports, she also went through rigorous and intense physical training as well as went under major transformation to portray the character and make it look as realistic as possible. She also trained for hours for some intense action scenes in the show.
The actor also did thorough research on how she wanted the character to look on the screen in order to understand and try to be as true to her character as possible. She reportedly locked herself in a room for three days to watch multiple documentaries in order to get in the character of Raji.
Season 2 of Amazon Prime's action show has a number of stunts and action scenes, and as her role demands it, the actor did her own stunts in multiple scenes. as per reports. The actor has a deglamorised role in the show and she is also seen holding a gun and throwing punches in the trailer that was released on May 19.
The actor has been praised on multiple occasions by her co-star Manoj Bajpayee for her transformation and acting skills in the show. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bajpayee said, " I was shown a video where she has practised punching and kicking and jumping, everything she has done onscreen is marvellous. Every actor or actress is going to envy the skills she has shown in the film."
