We are witnessing more talents from the regional cinema in the mainstream Hindi films as well. In the times when the lines are getting blurred, we are being exposed to artists who are taking the Hindi film industry by storm, especially the South Indian female actors.

Currently, the OTT platform users can't stop praising the actor Samantha Akkineni who has stolen the show in the web-series The Family Man 2 also featuring Manoj Bajpayee. If you loved her performance in the digital release, you should surely watch some of these South Indian film actors who starred in Hindi ventures.

Samantha Akkineni

The most recent performance that has got the OTT users talking is Samantha Akkineni as a terrorist in the web-series The Family Man season 2. In the second installment of the popular Amazon Prime series the actor plays the antagonist Raji. She has been winning plaudits for her performance which caught the attention of the audience.

The actor who works mostly in Telugu and Tamil films, made her Hindi debut with the web series. Akkineni will be seen next in the upcoming Telugu project Shaakuntalam.

Priya Mani

Another actor who has impressed us with her performance is Priya Mani, who also featured in the newly-released season of The Family Man 2. The actor has already carved a niche for herself in the Southern film industry and now she is garnering appreciation from all corners for her Hindi venture. She made her acting debut in 2003 with Evare Athagadu and has been part of  many Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi movies. The National Film Award winning actor has previously featured in the 2010 release Raavan.

Parvathy Thiruvothu

The National film Award recipient made her Bollywood debut alongside Irrfan Khan in the film Qarib Qarib Singlle. The actor stole the scene with her performance in the romantic comedy. Previously, the actor has featured in popular films down south such as Notebook, Bangalore Days, Poo and Prithvi. The 33-year-old actor’s performance in the Malayalam film Uyare also gained praises from all quarters.

Nithya Menen

Nithya Menen made her Hindi debut with multi-starrer film Mission Mangal alongside Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. In the film which tells the story of how a group of scientists at ISRO made the Mars Orbiter Mission possible, Menen essays the role of one of the scientists. The actor’s first appearance was in the English film, The Monkey Who Knew Too Much as a child actor. She got her breakthrough role in her maiden Telugu romantic comedy film Ala Modalaindi.

Shriya Saran

Shriya Saran who has been a part of many critically acclaimed films in the Southern film industry, first featured in a supporting role in the Hindi film Tujhe Meri Kasam, alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. In 2012, the award-winning actor starred in Deepa Mehta directorial Midnight's Children, an English adaptation of Salman Rushdie's novel.

Much like her performances in the Southern films, Saran’s appearances in the Hindi films aren’t something you can miss. The actor has also featured in the massive hit film, starring Ajay Devgn, Drishyam, the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name.
