She has been in the industry for over ten years and has made quite a name for herself. The trailer of the film, which is filled with action and thrills, was recently released and was well-received by fans.
Following the trailer release, Palak Tiwari shared her experience of working with Salman Khan and how he ensures a “safe” environment for everyone on set by policing women’s clothes on set. She mentioned that Salman prefers women on set to keep themselves covered and avoid wearing low necklines.
Salman Khan Policing Clothes On Sets
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Tiwari revealed that while working with Salman Khan on the movie Antim, there was a rule which required women on the film set to dress modestly, with the neckline not revealing much skin. Palak mentioned that her mother was surprised to see her dressed in a "proper" shirt and joggers and asked where she was going dressed so well. Upon hearing that she was going to work on Salman Khan's set "all covered up", her mother was impressed.
Palak explained that the rules were in place for women because Khan, being a traditionalist, believed in allowing “his girls” to wear what they wanted, but also prioritised their protection. He was not concerned with his personal space and the trustworthiness of individuals, but rather the general safety of the woman especially when around unknown men.
So why should such a rule exist in the first place if he is so concerned about the safety of “his girls”? The only thing Salman Khan’s proving with this rule of his is how regressive and repulsive this mentality is, rather than genuine concern for the safety of women.
Directed by Farhad Samji, the cast of ">Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also includes notable actors such as Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Vijender Singh, and others, making for a star-studded ensemble. The highly-anticipated film is set to hit cinemas on 21 April.
