Saani Kaayidham trailer release has everyone on their toes in excitement as in a matter of few minutes it shows a thrilling story behind the film, which is apparently based on true incidents from the 1980s. The crime thriller skipped theatrical release and is directly heading for an OTT release.
The film stars Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan in the lead roles, and their revenge tales seem to be woven intricately by director Arun Matheswaran. The three minute 14 seconds long trailer is filled with mystery and violence as the director chooses to go back in the past of the two lead characters and make them count the number of murders committed by each.
The film's teaser, which was released recently, provides a backdrop to why the two characters are on a killing spree. It began with Matheswaran's iconic black and white framing of a man overlooking a burning house. The scene swiftly moved to a close-up shot of a woman carrying a revolver and preparing herself to shoot someone.

Saani Kaayidham Trailer Release
Both the trailer and teaser have managed to set a tone and introduced the audience to the possibility of anything and everything happening next in the plot. Each of these camera shots alternates between coloured and black/white frames. In the teaser, Suresh is seen sitting, looking numb to her surroundings, but as she starts speaking a desire for revenge starts seeping into her words and body language. She says, "If someone throws a stone at us...we throw a stone back at them."
The scene continues and gets darker, as she says, "When someone spits on us, we spit right back at them. But if someone destroys everything, our dreams, our lives, our wishes, our world, everything and all he gets is prison time. So you even call it a vengeance?"
Selvaraghavan, who is a film director himself, will be making his debut as an actor with Saani Kaayidham. Reportedly, Selvaraghavan and Keerthy will be playing brother and sister in the film.
The film is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video on May 6, this year. Watch the trailer here.
