Russian Doll is an American comedy-drama series created by Natasha Lyonne, Leslye Headland, and Amy Poehler. The first season of the show was well-received, winning three Emmys, and the show was renewed for a second season, which will premiere soon. Here's the release schedule for Russian Doll Season 2.
The show followed Nadia Vulvokov, who was played by Lyonne. Nadia becomes trapped in a time loop while attending an inevitable party in New York City one night. She dies repeatedly while she tries to figure out what's wrong with her, continually beginning at the same moment at the party.
She meets a man named Alan Zaveri, played by Charlie Barnett, who is going through something similar but in a different way. In the first season, Greta Lee portrayed Nadia's friend Maxine, Yul Vazquez portrayed John Reyes, a real estate agent and Nadia's ex-boyfriend, and Elizabeth Ashley portrayed Ruth Brenner, a psychiatrist and Nadia's close family friend.
The first season of the series was awarded three Emmys for Outstanding Cinematography, Outstanding Production Design, and Outstanding Contemporary Costumes.
The show premiered on OTT in 2019 and was renewed for a second season the following year. Despite the fact that filming for Russian Doll Season 2 began in 2020, it had to be postponed owing to COVID-19 constraints. The team eventually completed their production and post-production work, and the show is now set for its season 2 launch.
