Riteish Deshmukh, Tamannaah Bhatia Starrer 'Plan A Plan B' Release Date Out

Riteish Deshmukh and Tamannaah Bhatia-starring Indian rom-com Plan A Plan B  will be directly released on the OTT platform. The release schedule for the upcoming film was announced on Monday during an event in Mumbai.

Deshmukh plays the bitter and successful divorce lawyer Kaustubh Chougule in Plan A Plan B, while Bhatia plays the sincere matchmaker Nirali Vora who thinks marriage is for everyone—except for herself. Their heated conflict is made more difficult when she moves into the office next to him. In the 30-second announcement video, Kaustubh sums up their conflict by saying, "You transform singles into couples, I turn them back into singles."

The love-hate relationship of the lead characters is the focus of the film. In addition to Deshmukh and Bhatia, actors Poonam Dhillon and Kusha Kapila are featured in the film. Plan A Plan B is directed by Shashanka Ghosh, who previously directed the Netflix comedy House Arrest. Along with Trilok Malhotra and K R Harish, newcomer Rajat Arora serves as the film's screenwriter and producer. The movie is an India Stories Media & Entertainment and Funk Your Blues Entertainment production.

Deshmukh, who last appeared in the action film Baaghi 3 in 2020 and in a brief cameo in Ek Villain Returns in 2022, expressed his delight at making his digital debut with Plan A Plan B. He stated, "Working with Shashank sir has been a genuine pleasure. I'm most excited about the movie's fantastic plot and the development of this unexpected love tale. I can't wait for Netflix to bring this remarkable narrative to life for viewers around the world."

Bhatia stated, "Working on this project has been a great experience for the entire team as we have had a blast on the sets almost every time we filmed. I eagerly anticipate the day when the world will get to know this extraordinary story."

Bhatia will next be seen in Bole Chudiyan and Babli Bouncer, and Deshmukh will next be seen in Kakuda, Visfot, and Mister Mummy.

Plan A Plan B Release Date

The movie was initially revealed at Netflix's virtual international Tudum event in September 2021. The most recent announcement video states that the movie will be available on Netflix on September 30.

It is now one of five Indian Netflix originals slated to release this September, alongside the second season of the reality TV series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives starring Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Kiran Sajdeh, and Neelam Kothari Soni which will be released on September 2, true crime docuseries Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer on September 7, the Diljit Dosanjh-led movie Jogi on September 16, and the second season of crime series Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega on September 23.
