Singer Rita Ora And Filmmaker Taika Waititi Tie The Knot In Intimate Ceremony In London

Singer Rita Ora and filmmaker and actor Taika Waititi reportedly tied the knot in London. The couple confirmed that they were in a relationship in April 2021 and got married in an intimate ceremony.

The Sun UK reported that the singer and songwriter Rita Ora got married to filmmaker Taika Waititi less than two months after the couple got engaged. They reportedly got married in an intimate ceremony in London and Ora will go by the name Waititi-Ora. Ora is currently recording new music in the studio and is working on the third album.

According to The Sun’s source, Ora wanted to keep the relationship as private as possible and did not want to make a big deal about the wedding. They added that the couple was planning “a big showbiz-style bash” to celebrate.

According to Taika Waititi’s Instagram post on Valentine’s Day, he and Rita Ora first met four years ago and confirmed they were in a relationship a year ago. He shared a photo of them on the night they first met and said, “We’ve been mates ever since”. Waititi added that they “decided to ‘complicate’ things but it just got easier”. He signed off by wishing Ora a happy Valentine’s Day.

Ora and Waititi reported began dating in March and confirmed their relationship in April. The couple was seen together at the RuPaul's Drag Race premiere in Sydney, Australia. They then made their first red carpet debut in August 2021 at the premiere of the film The Suicide Squad.

Rumours about Waititi and Ora getting married began after fans spotted what seemed to be a wedding ring on Waititi’s finger. The image was posted on an Instagram story by Ora's sister, Elena Ora.

In June 2022, The Sun UK reported that Ora and Waititi made almost “simultaneous” wedding proposals to each other. Reportedly, “The plan is to marry abroad, as soon as their respective projects end, with their closest friends and family around them.”
