Richa Chadha is excited to start a new chapter of her life with her boyfriend Ali Fazal. The actor, on Thursday night, shared a cryptic post on Twitter amid reports of her and Fazal's October wedding

Fazal and Chadha, who have been dating since 2015, confirmed their relationship status in 2017, when the 3 Idiots actor posted a selfie with Chadha, saying: "Hai toh hai." The two co-starred in Fukrey, and have also shared screen space in its sequel Fukrey Returns. They also had extended cameos in Netflix's Call My Agent: Bollywood.

Richa Chadha tweets 'can't wait for October' amid wedding reports

After much speculation, Chadha has officially announced her impending wedding date and confirmed it to be in October. She shared a GIF, with the text "New Life Loading," on Thursday, September 15 on social media. She added the caption as, "Can’t wait for October."

According to reports, the actors are all ready to celebrate their nuptials with celebrations in Delhi and Mumbai during the first week of October. The pre-wedding celebrations will start on September 30 and go for three days at the Delhi Gymkhana. On October 1, there will be Sangeet and Mehendi. On October 2, Fazal and Chadha will also have a wedding celebration for their extended family and friends.

The star couple will go to Mumbai for the remaining celebrations after three days of festivities in Delhi. The pair will exchange vows in a small ceremony on October 6 in a rented villa in Mumbai, followed by a lavish banquet for their Bollywood friends on October 7 at the South Mumbai hotel.

The couple were supposed to get married in 2020. However, due to Covid restrictions and lockdowns, the wedding was postponed.

Meanwhile, on work front, Chadha is currently working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming web series Heeramandi which will stream exclusively on Netflix. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor was originally meant to wrap up shooting this week, but her song shoot for Heeramandi has been delayed and will now wrap up late next week.

Fazal, on the other hand, is currently working on the third season of Amazon Prime Video’s series Mirzapur in Mumbai and Lucknow.
