Rhea Chakraborty is set to make a comeback to work with the forthcoming season of MTV Roadies as a gang boss. Fans had different feelings about the announcement.
Rhea Chakraborty has returned to the small screen over three years after she was sidelined following the controversy surrounding her partner Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The actor had been the subject of several official investigations in connection with Rajput's death. On Monday, the actor announced her return to show business as one of the 'gang leaders' on MTV Roadies.
The actor then addressed the camera, saying, "Did you believe I wouldn't return, or am I afraid? It's time for someone else to be scared, and I'll see you at the auditions." While many people were taken aback, others stated they couldn't wait to see her. Many, on the other hand, were not pleased.

Chakraborty appears as a disappointment for a user who wrote, "Everyone was so excited for the new season of Roadies, but this woman spoiled the whole curiosities." Another user felt that the makers should immediately remove her from the show; he wrote," This time, I'll not watch Roadies. I know you will not remove her based on my saying, but this comment will inspire others to not watch the show, and the only reason is Rhea Chakrabarti." The third user had the same thoughts; she wrote, "FOR WHAT DID U TAKE HER SORRY I WOULD HAVE WATCHED IT FOR GAUTAM GULATI BUT IF SHE IS THERE THEN NO. I WON'T SUPPORT THIS SHOW EITHER." Another person attempted to draw a link between the show's new promo and SSR's death, writing, "Did she just mock the SSR justice fandom?"
Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh also has lashed out at Chakraborty following the release of the latter’s promo video. In response to the video, SSR’s sister Priyanka tweeted in Hindi, “Why would you be afraid?"

Chakraborty began her showbiz career in 2009 with television and moved on to cinema after a few years. Four of her eight films performed relatively well, and she is best remembered for her part in Jalebi. Her profession is acting, and her industry is entertainment, however, following SSR's controversy in 2020, the actor was sidelined. Now that she has taken her initial steps and begun afresh with television, people believe she lacks the right to remain in the profession and work. Giving her backlash for coming back to work and inspiring people to boycott the show, not because she doesn't know how to act but because of some people's claims that have yet to be substantiated. It's past time we leave her alone and let her do her work, as taking her profession away from her would be equally unfair.
