Reema Kagti’s upcoming film, Superboys of Malegaon, is set to make its global debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The audience will be treated to the film’s debut at the festival’s Gala event on September 13. The film explores the lives of Nasir Shaikh and other amateur filmmakers from Malegaon, Maharashtra, a town known for its power looms. It draws inspiration from Faiza Ahmad Khan’s acclaimed documentary, Supermen of Malegaon.

The trailer offers a visual treat with stunning cinematography that plays with sunlight and beautifully crafted sets. It evokes a warm, fuzzy feeling, enhanced by the apex cinematography of Swapnil Sonawane, who also contributed to India’s official entry for the 95th Academy Awards, Chhello Show.

Superboys of Malegaon is an Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Production, executive-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Farhan Akhtar. The film is directed by Reema Kagti and written by Varun Grover.
