Days after the Oscar controversy, Jada Pinkett Smith is all set to return with her mother Adrienne Banfield Norris and daughter Willow Smith for the fifth season of Red Table Talk. It is a chat show hosted by the actor. In the trailer of the chat show, the trio is seen hosting a noteworthy lineup of guests. This line-up includes Oscar-winner Kim Basinger, her daughter Ireland Baldwin, eight-time Grammy nominee Janelle Monae and the parents of Miss USA who died by suicide earlier this year.
The trailer is a deep dive into the lives of the celebrity guests, replete with candid confessions, healing processes and insights into their thoughts. Reportedly, the trailer of the show’s latest season does not mention The Oscar’s Slapgate and there is no indication whether the Smiths will address it either.
Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards this year after he made a joke comparing Jada Pinkett Smith to GI Jane, a character of robot played by Drew Barrymore, who was bald.
Jada who suffers from Alopecia has sported cropped hair since her diagnosis. Smith has been banned from attending the award ceremony for 10 years owing to the controversy.
