Ranjish Hi Sahi web series created by Mahesh Bhatt, released on 13 January on Voot Select. It is director Mahesh Bhatt’s digital debut. He collaborated with Jio Studios for the same. The web series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Amrita Puri and Amala Paul as the lead characters.

1. The series is set in the backdrop of 1970s.
2. It revolves around the love story of Parveen Babi and Mahesh Bhatt. According to sources, their story began in 1977 after she broke up with her then-boyfriend Kabir Bedi.
3. Tahir Raj Bhasin will be seen in the role of Shankar, a struggling film director. Amrita Puri plays the role of Anju whereas Shankar’s wife Amala plays the role of Aamna, a diva.
4. The series is about a love triangle where we see Shankar falling for Aamna despite of being married to Anju.
5. The series, consisting of 8 episodes, has been created by Mahesh Bhatt and written and directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj.

8. According to the makers of series Ranjish Hi Sahi, it is a complicated triangle where the fledgling maverick film director finds a soulmate in the yesteryear A-list Bollywood actress, leaving his wife stunned and him torn between two worlds.
9. In an interview with Hindustan times, Tahir Raj Bhasin said that Mahesh Bhatt’s true life incidents comprise 50 percent of the story and the remaining 50 percent of it is fiction.
10. He also added that he had to put on 8-9 kilos because his character Shankar is a little older.
