Raj Kundra Statement On Porn Films Case: Raj Kundra has called the entire porn app case against him a "witch hunt". Last week, the businessman who is married to actor Shilpa Shetty was granted protection from arrest in the case around his alleged involvement in making and distributing pornographic content via an online platform. On December 20, Kundra, for the first time since that, gave a statement on the controversy.
Kundra called the reporting on his involvement and proceedings by various media houses "misleading and irresponsible". He also denied being part of the production and distribution of pornographic videos in question. Calling the entire incident a "witch hunt" Kundra said he is confident to face the trial on the issue.
"However, unfortunately, I have already been pronounced guilty by the media and my family and I have been subjected to a lot of pain (continuously), violating my human and constitutional rights at the different levels," said Kundra. He also requested privacy on the issue while saying that he "did not hide" his face "in shame" but for privacy from "MEDIA TRIAL".

Stating that his family is his priority, he said that it is every person's inalienable right to live "a life of dignity" and asked them to respect his privacy. The businessman was given four weeks protection from arrest by the Supreme Court, after he moved the court on November 25 for bail.
Earlier, he had gone to the Bombay High Court with his bail plea but it was rejected by the court. In his plea, Kundra said that the videos being labelled as pornographic were erotic in nature and did not show any physical or sexual activity.
Raj Kundra On Porn Films Case
Kundra was arrested in July this year for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic content through an application called Hotshots. In that case, he got bail in September by paying Rs. 50,000 as bail bond. He had submitted the bail plea at the Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
He and his associate Ryan Thorpe were reportedly behind the app Hotshots. However, Kundra alleged that his partnership with Thorpe ended long back but the investigating officers suspected that Kundra was involved in the production activity from his Mumbai office. Reportedly, he along with others involved earned five lakh rupees from each video that went on the online platform.

Kundra and Shetty have also slapped a defamation case against model Sherlyn Chopra for levying false allegations against the businessman. Between, July 19 and September 20, Chopra had alleged sexual misconduct and accused the couple of mental harassment. In early November, Kundra deleted his Instagram and Twitter account permanently.
