From 'Shiddat' To 'Pataakha', Radhika Madan Films To Add To Your Watchlist

Radhika Madan Films
In 2014, Radhika Madan began her acting career on television, where she initially appeared as the lead in the TV series Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi. After that, she landed a role in Vishal Bhardwaj's film, marking her Bollywood debut in 2018. She rose to prominence after portraying Tarika Bansal in the 2020 film Angrezi Medium. She has also appeared in the anthology series Ray and Feels Like Ishq, as well as in the Ni Jana music video.

In a video released to his official Instagram account of the film's muhurat shot, the actor was recently seen with Akshay Kumar. In the video, Madan can be seen smashing a coconut. Kumar will be seen romancing Madan in the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru. Although production has commenced, the Hindi adaptation has yet to be assigned a title.

Pataakha, 2018

Pataakha is a comedy-drama film written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj about two sisters who have a tumultuous relationship. Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan star in the film, which is based on Charan Singh Pathik's short story Do Behnein. The supporting characters are Sunil Grover, Saanand Verma, Lankesh Bhardwaj, and Vijay Raaz.

Madan made her Bollywood debut in this film, playing Badki, the older sister, while Malhotra played Chhutki, the younger sister. Both grew up in a small town in Rajasthan and despise one another. This isn't just any sibling rivalry; this is a deep and vicious hatred for each other. The sisters are physically trying to strangle and suffocate each other to death. While their father, a single dad, is constantly attempting to bring the fighting sisters together, The performances of Madan and Malhotra were well-received. Both performers gained weight in the second half, and their physical transformations received a lot of praise. It is available on Amazon Prime Video.

Angrezi Medium, 2020

Angrezi Medium is a comedic drama film starring Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. It is a sequel to the 2017 film Hindi Medium. Champak (Irrfan Khan), who was born and raised in the Rajasthani city of Udaipur, is raising his only daughter, Tarika (Madan), who is set to graduate from high school and go on a new academic adventure. But, unlike her father, she doesn't want to limit her goals to the neighbourhood where she grew up; she wants to see what else is out there. Champak gives in to his daughter's demands, oblivious to the consequences, but things swiftly spiral out of control when it comes to paying the enormous bills.

Along with the amusing subplots and sequences, the film revolves around this concept and sends a social message about how a single father goes to tremendous lengths to fulfil his daughter's desire, despite society's prejudices. Madan was praised for her portrayal of the character, and the film even marked her rise in the acting industry. It is available on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, 2018

Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota was an action comedy film that was released globally as The Man Who Feels No Pain. Abhimanyu Dassani, Radhika Madan, Gulshan Devaiah, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jimit Trivedi, and Prateek Parmar feature in the film. The plot follows a young guy named Suraj, played by Dassani, who suffers from a unique ailment known as congenital insensitivity to pain. Supri, Suraj's childhood girlfriend, is his only escape from his lonely existence, and Radhika Madan plays her. Surya's grandfather (played by Mahesh Manjrekar) assures him that he does not fall prey to the pressures of fitting in or being viewed as 'normal,' as the world and his father expect him to. It is available on Netflix.

Shiddat: Journey Beyond Love, 2021

Shiddat is a romantic drama film that stars Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina, and Diana Penty. The plot depicts a young lover who, with great tenacity, transforms the course of his life to pursue the woman he believes to be his soulmate. However, his voyage, which spans countries, is riddled with issues, wake-up calls, and what appears to be a one-sided obsession. Kartika Singhania is played by Madan, and Jaggi Dhillon is played by Kaushal. It was released on the OTT platform, Disney Plus Hotstar.
