Radhika Madan And Akshay Kumar Begin Shoot For Sudha Kongara's Untitled Film

Dressed in a quintessential red saree, with hair in a neat long pleat, actor Radhika Madan takes a coconut and aims at a surface which is covered with red cloth. Diverging all her force and focusing on the coconut, she smashes it into two clean divides. Beside her sits actor Akshay Kumar and director Sudha Kongara.

After her feat, Kumar pats Madan's back in pride for her clean smash of the auspicious coconut, while he flashes the board which calls for camera shots during film shooting. Indicating that something new is coming up.

Without hiding much, Kumar states on his Instagram post, "With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it. In case you'll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes."

The same video was also shared by Shruti Mahajan, who is a popular casting director. She wrote, "Jai Shree Ganesh On floor...n we roll...!" Along with the video and the caption. She tagged Captain GR Gopinath, who is the founder of Deccan Air. He, on July 12, 2021, had posted a picture with a group of people and captioned it, "Excited to announce our association with @abundantia_filters led by @ivikramix for #SooraraiPottru in Hindi, Directed by #SudhaKongara."

The Bollywood Hungama reported that the Tamil film, which stars Suriya in the lead role has been in news for a long time as the cast decides on who will be leading the Hindi remake of the film. There was a pool of A-lister actors' names, but going by the recent post, it is going to Kumar and Madan.

An unnamed source told India Today, "Akshay Kumar has been in talks for this film for the last six months, and although he had given his verbal nod last year itself, he signed on the dotted line just recently. The Hindi screenplay has been written as terrifically as the original, and Akshay loved how it has been adapted into a North Indian setting without taking away the emotional and inspirational core of it."

The Tamil film was released in 2020 and it was about a man named Maara who comes from a remote village and has a dream of launching his airline service someday. To achieve his dream, he has to go through obstacles and challenges.
