The second season of the anthology Putham Pudhu Kaalai is about to release in the coming January 2022.
Both the season have been dedicated to the times of lockdown that the country went through, hardships faced by people and the inspiration the time proved out to be.
Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa Teaser Released:
Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa is the second instalment of the Putham Pudhu Kaalai, which is a Tamil language anthology film. Season one itself has five stories in the form of short movies within it. The movie's storyline is against the backdrop of 21 days lockdown due to the COVID-19 scenario in the country during March 2020.
It was released on Amazon Prime on October 16,2020 and received mixed reviews from the audience. While many considered it as an inspiration derived from the lockdown phase and raw portrayal of feeling and emotions, others found the motive of anthology failing in few parts.

The OTT giant released the teaser to the second season on December 30, 2021 and the platform expects to host the new season from January 14,2020. It will be a collection of five stories of family, friendships and hope. The movie has been directed by Balaji Mohan, Halitha Shameem, Richard Anthony, Surya Krishna and Madhumita.
The series will be starring Nadia Moidu, Joju George, Rithika, Aishwarya Lekshmi in the main roles and will focus on the challenges faced by people during the pandemic as the country was under lockdown. The new story in the second part seems to follow the same path of the previous version. The focus of the previous season was more on how families were forced to remain under the same roof, face all sort of complexities and sort them without any outward help.
It has five parts, namely, Mugakavasa Mutham by Balaji Mohan, Loners by Halitha Shameem featuring Jai Bhim's Lijomol Jose, the third one named Mouname Paarvayaai by Madhumita, Nizhal Tharum Idham by Richard Antony, and The Mask by Surya Krishna.
