Mobile game PUBG to relaunched in India: Popular mobile game PUBG will be reportedly re-launched in India. PUBG and more than a hundred other Chinese apps were banned by India last year citing data security challenges.

The South Korean game developer Krafton has announced that the mobile game PUBG will be re-launched in India as Battlegrounds Mobile India. The mobile game will launch as a free-to-play experience and will offer a world-class AAA Multiplayer experience according to the game developer company.

The company, Battlegrounds Mobile India, is expected to have a pre-registration period before launch. Krafton will also collaborate with different partners to ensure in bringing regularity to the content of the mobile game.

Many Chinese apps were banned in 2020 by the Indian government due to the increasing concerns for data and security. Along with PUBG, many other popular apps like TikTok, AliExpress, Shein, UC Browser, and CamScanner were also banned.

Keeping privacy and security concerns in mind, Krafton announced that they will be one of the top concerns. The company said that they will ensure privacy and security rights and protection for the players at every stage. “All data collection and storage will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in India and for players here,” said the game developer company.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is reported to be available to be played only in India. The game developers have also revealed the logo of the new Battleground Mobile India. The desi influence in the logo is highly evident as it shows a striking Indian tricolour flag.

The popularity of the PUBG mobile game is highly evident in India as the country was one of the top overseas markets for the downloads of the mobile app. Outside of China, India accounted for millions of downloads of the app which marks about 28.8% of all total downloads.
