Nag Aswin, who rose to fame after his biopic on yesteryear actor Savithri, Mahanati, featuring Keerthy Suresh, has set high expectations for Project K. The film is bankrolled by C. Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanti Movies, marking 50 years of their establishment. Bollywood actor Disha Patani is also part of the cast.

Project K To Release In Two Parts

As per recent reports, the makers have decided to release the film, which is tentatively titled Project K, in two parts. As the vision and plot of the project are large, the makers have decided to release it in two parts. The first part will establish the world and conflict of Nag Aswin’s magnum opus, and the second part will unfold the entire drama. This is quite similar to how the story of Bahubali unfolded in two parts. Project K is envisioned as the biggest film in Indian cinema.

According to the latest reports, Nag Aswin revealed that the shooting of the first schedule of the film has been completed, which included Prabhas' introduction scene. The director added that Prabhas looked absolutely cool in the scene. As per inside reports, the film will have "extreme past and extreme future" scenes. Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's characters are said to have supernatural powers. It is speculated that veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan’s character will be loosely based on Ashwatthama, a character from the Indian epic Mahabharata.

Similar to Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan, both the first and second parts of Project K are being shot simultaneously. According to the report, the team of Project K has wrapped up shooting the first part, post-production work has begun, and the team is currently shooting the second part. A team of VFX artists is reportedly working on the visuals for the first part. It is said that the film will deliver visuals that have never been seen before.

The music of Project K will be composed by Mickey J. Meyer, and Dani Sanchez-Lopez is the DOP. As a science fiction film set in a futuristic world, Project K is being made with a lavish budget.
