Actor and producer Priyanka Chopra held a screening and reception of the Gujarati film Chhello Show, India's official entry for the Oscars. Chhello Show was shortlisted for the Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category.
Chhello Show's producer David Dubinsky, director Pan Nalin, and child actor Bhavin Rabari also attended the event.
Producer Dubinsky shared several photographs and videos from the screening and in one of the clips, Priyanka Chopra was seen giving a speech and speaking about her memories of times at the single-screen theatres in small towns.

Priyanka Chopra On Chhello Show
Chopra took to social media and shared images of her alongside director Nalin, producer Dheer Momaya, and star Bhavin Rabari.
Reportedly, the special screening of Chhello Show took place at Isha Ambani Piramal's residence in Los Angeles.
Chopra wrote in the caption that "The least I can do is always support the industry that taught me all I know about my job".
She added that she was "So proud of the amazing movies that come out of Indian cinema" and mentioned that Chhello Show was one of the special films.
Chopra also provided information about the Oscar-shortlisted film and wrote that it is a regional language film revolving around a 9-year-old's fascination with cinema.

The Oscar-shortlisted film Chhello Show will go up against 15 other films, including South Korea's Decision to Leave, Pakistan's Joyland, Belgium's Close, Denmark's Holy Spider, and Germany's All Quiet on the Western Front.
During the event, Chopra said that she believes it's a "really great time for our movies" and said it felt great to be able to be the "shoulders for people from my country, from my industry".
Chopra added that director Nalin is one of India's most prolific filmmakers and made the film Angry Indian Goddesses. She said that Angry Indian Goddesses was a film she loved and she became a fan of his after she saw it.
Co-producers Siddharth Roy Kapur and Dheer Momaya and director Nalin said in a joint statement, "Priyanka is a global icon, a tremendously talented actor and most of all, a very generous person... The team was most thrilled by how much she loved the film".
