Priyanka Chopra, an actor, frequently expresses her opinions and never holds back from letting the world know what she thinks. When discussing her negative encounters with the film industry, she has never held back.
Chopra recently addressed instances of 'bullying' by a co-actor. She recalled an incident during an interview where a co-actor from a 'hit' film attempted to impose his interpretation of a scene on her. However, Chopra stood her ground and refused to yield, resulting in a temporary halt to the film's shooting for the day.
Priyanka Chopra Opens Up About Dealing With Bullying
Chopra emphasised the collaborative nature of a film scene, highlighting that it involves the collective choices of various individuals. She also mentioned how, despite her presence in a scene, some co-actors have occasionally dominated it as if it were a solo performance.
I am not someone who takes bullying while sitting down. But I am also not someone who fights in an aggressive manner. I am a solution-oriented person and I am a talking person.
Priyanka Chopra On Career, 'People Jeopardised My Career'
The actor earlier made extensive remarks about how some people were attempting to "jeopardise" her career while she was succeeding. Even so, she continued to advance toward her objective. She added that, in her opinion, "very few people are happy for someone's success" in India.
But the actor, who has made a name for herself in Hollywood after almost twelve years, never let those who attempted to sabotage her career get the better of her. She claimed that she ignores those who attempt to bring her down. Instead, she focuses on the one person who has faith in her.
The actor said, "But that’s not what stops me. I don’t sit and wait and harp on, maybe I will cry one night when an opportunity is taken away from me, but I don’t sit in the s**t." You have to turn off the noise, she continued, in order to keep yourself from becoming "dark" and "negative" in life. She added, "Pay attention to the one person who has faith in you. The hardest thing to do is to concentrate on any light or inspiration you may come across because you are weighed down by your possessions and the bonds that bind you to others."
Additionally, the actor made an effort to assert the lack of celebration of success among Indians. According to her, "In India, we are not a nation of people, and very few of us are happy for someone else's success. Our colonisation lasted until 1947, in my view. We’ve just about, not even been 100 years, been our own country, our own people."
According to Chopra, Indians must understand the "strength in numbers," as she asserted: "If we only collectively banded together and supported other successful people in our fields, we would be unstoppable in the world. We are one-fifth of the world’s population"
With Jee Le Zara, directed by Farhan Akhtar and starring Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, the actor will make a big return to Bollywood.
