Priyanka Chopra Memoir out today: Actor Priyanka Chopra's memoir Unfinished comes out today. The actor has been busy promoting her new book, which features her experiences with body-shaming, racism and the challenges that she had to overcome to reach where she is today.

Chopra, who is one of Bollywood's highest-paid actresses was recently seen in Netflix film The White Tiger, starring Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao. The film based on author Arvind Adiga's novel by the same name was directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Ramin Bahrani.

I am hoping with this book you get to know me a little bit as a person, a little bit more than the headlines you read about me: Priyanka Chopra memoir out today.

In a new video promoting Unfinished, Priyanka Chopra, who is married to singer Nick Jonas, says, "There have been so many of you who have supported me through my entire career and there have been those who have not. But this is not for you. This is for just people who are curious about me. I am hoping with this book you get to know me a little bit as a person, a little bit more than the headlines you read about me."

Film director told Chopra to get plastic surgery

Unfinished offers a rare glance in the international superstar's life, past and present. One of the most shocking incidences recalled by Chopra is how a film director told her to get plastic surgery at the beginning of her career, to fix her "proportions".

"After a few minutes of small talk, the director/producer told me to stand up and twirl for him," she writes in her memoir, adding, "I did. He stared at me long and hard, assessing me, and then suggested that I get a boob job, fix my jaw, and add a little more cushioning to my butt."

As per the former Miss World, the meeting left her feeling “stunned and small”.

Sent copies to all those who were mentioned in the book

The actor also revealed in an interview that all the people mentioned in her book have been sent a copy of it, as she "didn't want any surprises later." Speaking on her writing process, the actor said, "When I wrote about my experiences, I penned down my version that I remembered. Then I would call up the person who was part of it, to corroborate my story. I needed a lot of filling in the blanks from them."
