Lara Dutta shared a photo of the book and the note expressing how excited she was to get this book from her and she's looking forward to reading it. Dutta quoted, "Super excited to get this Priyanka Chopra! Looking forward to the read." Priyanka had written in the note that how she hoped their memories matched. "Thanks for being such a big part of my story," Chopra said.
Priyanka Chopra was the first runner-up to Dutta, who had finished in the first place and was crowned Miss India 2000. They were later awarded the Miss World and Miss Universe titles, respectively. Dia Mirza, the second runner-up, was also a winner at the Miss Asia Pacific pageant. The trio established a record that year, as India won all three pageants.
Later on, all three of them debuted in the world of the film industry as actors. Dutta and Priyanka Chopra debuted in a film opposite Akshay Kumar named Andaaz (2003).
Talking about Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza, in an interview, Dutta said, "Yes, I’m still very much in touch with both Priyanka and Dia and very constantly in touch. At least I know for sure that both of them are still a very integral part of my life. It’s very easy for us to pick up a phone or anything and just reach out to each other immediately."
