Actor Priyanka Chopra and singer Nick Jonas, for the first time, shared a picture with their daughter Malti Marie Chopra on the day of Mother's Day, May 8, this year. The actor shared the picture with their daughter along with a long note about her birth. The couple welcomed their daughter in January.
She shared a picture with Jonas, Malti and herself in the frame. The first-time parents are seen holding their daughter as Chopra, with her eyes shut, hugs her daughter and Jonas is seen hugging both Chopra and their daughter, who is dressed in pink colour with the same colour bow on her head.
Chopra wrote, "On this Mother's Day we can't help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we've been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home."

Chopra also added about how each family's journey is unique and it "requires a certain level of faith and ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is."
Sharing details on Malti's health, she wrote, "We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children's La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way."
Chopra announced the beginning of a new chapter. She even wished Mother's Day to her followers and wrote, "...to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. You make it look so easy. Thank you." She added, "Also...there is no one I'd rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama @nickjonas I love you (heart emoji)."
The celebrity couple welcomed their child through surrogacy on January 15 this year. The couple announced this on their social media on January 22 and let their fans know that it is a baby girl. The baby was born prematurely, 12 weeks before the due date. Post-birth, she had to be kept at the Southern California Hospital, which is located on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
With regards to becoming a parent, in an interview with the YouTuber and talk show host Lilly Singh, Chopra said, "As a new parent right now, I keep thinking that I will never be imposing my desires, fears, my upbringing onto my child. I have always believed that children come through you, not from you."
