Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Netflix Show: The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex’s first Netflix series will document the Invictus Games, which was founded by Prince Harry.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had signed a deal with Netflix in 2020. Their first Netflix series will be a documentary series on the Invictus Games, a global adaptive sports competition. Oscar-winning director Orlando von Einsiedel and Oscar-winning producer Joanna Natasegara are involved in the making of the series.
The Heart of Invictus will follow a group of international athletes and the organisers as they prepare for the Invictus Games. It will follow the international competitors on the journey to the Invictus Games The Hague. The competition was supposed to take place in 2020, but will now be taking place in 2022. The training and life stories of the athletes will be documented in the series.
Prince Harry will be appearing on camera in the documentary in addition to the executive producing Heart of Invictus. The Duke stated that “This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year." Prince Harry added that he "couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for continuously inspiring global healing, human potential and continued service."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle founded Archewell Productions so that the produces programming can "embrace our shared humanity and duty to truth through a compassionate lens." The deal the couple made with Netflix covers documentaries, feature films, scripted television series, and children’s shows.
According to Netflix, the project will provide "significant funding to the organisation". The international Invictus community is being offered access to virtual sports activities to help their recovery and preparation. After the Games in The Hague, the Netherlands, the next Games will be held in 2023 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
