Influencer-Turned-Actor Prajakta Koli To Make Big-Screen Debut With Jug Jugg Jeeyo

In the world of influencers and content creators, Prajakta Koli, has emerged as one of the most sought-after comedians or vloggers.

Koli has garnered 6.1 million followers over the years, which makes her one of the top charting YouTubers in the country. The popular influencer otherwise known as Mostly Sane has now stepped into a different path: Acting. 

“Why I love being a video content creator is because my camera is my favourite tool of expression,” the content creator once shared. 

The 27-year-old has delivered noteworthy performances in a few projects already.  Now, Prajakta will mark her big-screen debut with the upcoming romance Jug Jugg Jeeyo, alongside Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Although the film went on floors last year, the release date is still under the wraps.

Khayali Pulao 

The short film, that featured Prajakta, had a storyline that revolved around a 17-year-old, Asha Dhanda. The protagonist here belongs to a conservative family and studies in a government school in a small village in Haryana. Asha, otherwise a studious girl, lacks the skills of a sportsperson. However, her only goal is to become a part of the girls football team. She does everything in her capacity to win a place among the team members. Asha’s sudden interest in sports and the reason behind the sheer determination is unveiled at the end.

Mismatched

The Youtuber made her Netflix debut with the coming-of-age romantic drama web series, Mismatched, alongside actor  Rohit Saraf. The 2020 release was based on the book When Dimple Met Rishi penned by Sandhya Menon. The story spans out after Rishi Singh Shekhawat (Rohit Saraf) arrives at the Aravalli Institute to find his ‘Future Wife’. Dimple Ahuja (Prajakta Koli) wants to be a tech wizard, is now Rishi’s love interest who tries to woo her to eventually get married to his “perfect match.”

Jug Jugg Jeeyo

Finally, the forthcoming romantic-drama film helmed by Raj Mehta. The film, the details of which are yet to be revealed, will feature Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles, alongside Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul.
