After a big hit of KGF, the makers are coming up with yet another big project titled Salaar starring Prabhas, Yash, And Shruti Hasan. The release date for Salaar has been officially rescheduled by the film's producers. Initially, the movie was slated for release on September 28.
The film is directed by Prashant Neel while backed up by again Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films. The makers initially announced Salaar for a September 28 release but decided to postpone it due to post-production work. This sudden change in plans disappointed distributors and exhibitors across various film industries.
Salaar Release Date
However, on September 29, Hombale Films made an announcement on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the film's new release date. They unveiled a fresh poster and stated, "Coming very soon! #SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release on December 22, 2023 (sic)."
Salaar is set to go head-to-head with Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki in theatres later this year, specifically during the Christmas weekend. As a result, films that had previously announced their release dates will now need to be rearranged. It remains to be seen how exhibitors will respond to this clash.

Salaar Teaser Release:
The production house Hombale Films has released the official teaser of the film. The teaser has a similar dark theme to KGF with extravagant action setups. The teaser opens with the name of the production house and the sentence "one man called" following the grandeur glimpses of the film with coal mines, harbours, dust, wind, and music in the backdrop strengthening the intense vibe.
The 1 minute 44 seconds long teaser screens no one clearly except the young rebel star Prabhas in a dashing action scene. Glimpses of other casts can be seen in the teaser but not clearly. In fact, the teaser has created more curiosity about what the characters of Yash and Shruti Hasan look like. Will they make it much more anticipating for fans or not? The teaser has put the audience in a dilemma, whether Yash is a Villain or a Hero. Maybe it will take another teaser or trailer, We hope to find out soon.
The teaser is set to have set up in coal mines again, and watching another action thriller after KGF in theatres already brings goosebumps to me. Action scenes will be more grandeur than you can think of, and the cast is stronger than before starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, and even Vijay Sethupathi is rumoured to be in the movie.
The filmmakers have yet not announced the official wrap-up but have completed the shooting in Telugu and are said to have started dubbing the film. The film is all set to grace theatres on 28 September and will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Lately, Prabhas was in the news for his recent release Adipurush, an adaptation of Valmiki's Ramayan. The film has been criticised for its poor VFX and dialogues. However, the film is said to be doing good at the box office earning 300 crores already. Prabhas has not given a hit for 5 years after continuous flops of films like Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and now Adipurush. But his fan following remains still the same, with fans hoping for Salaar to be the star's stronger comeback than ever before. The question is the upcoming big projects of Prabhas Salaar and Project K will be a bounce back for the actor or a downfall. We cannot wait to find out!
