Made In Heaven (Season 2)
The long-anticipated second instalment of Made in Heaven is finally out on OTT. Following the incredible reception received by the first instalment, the show brings back Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur as wedding planners. Like its first season, the show will feature the wedding stories of different couples in every episode. The casting of the second season promises to be an intriguing watch. With Kalki Koechlin, Shivangi Rastogi, Shashank Arora, and Jim Sarbh, among others, Made in Heaven season 2 promises double the drama, emotion, romance, and celebration. Sonakshi Sinha's Dahaad introduces us to a determined and confident cop. Despite hailing from and living in a remote village, Anjali Bhati is an unconventional woman. The series addresses several social issues, including caste-based discrimination, dowry, bias against girls, pressure on women to get married, women’s education, women’s empowerment, premarital sex, etc. While chasing a serial killer, Anjali Bhati also smashes several stereotypes along the way. The psychological thriller has a strong cast, including Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah, among others.
Kohhra
Kohhra revolves around the story of the murder of an NRI groom and a missing person. Further investigations bring out the secrets, deceit, lies, and drama of dysfunctional families. Despite being a story centred around male characters, Kohhra has strong female characters. Harleen Sethi, who plays Nimrat, is a woman who is married off at a very young age and becomes a mother. At one point, she decides to take agency over her life, walks out of an unhappy marriage, and confronts her dominating father, Dhillon, a violent cop, played by Suvinder Vicky.
Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo
Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo is an all-in-all women’s game. It narrates the story of Savithri, aka Rani Baa (Dimple Kapadia), who takes up the responsibility of Rani Cooperative, a secret drug cartel, after the demise of her husband. Over the years, she becomes the matriarch who builds her own empire, relying solely on herself in a male-dominated society. Her daughters-in-law and daughter also play pivotal roles in running the business, and the men are basically supporting characters in the series. Starring Radhika Madan, Isha Talwar, and Angira Dhar, among others, enter the world of Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo if you’re in the mood for female power.
Rocket Boys
Rocket Boys follows the story of two extraordinary men, Dr Homi Jehangir Babha and Dr Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai, who played a crucial role in creating India’s history that we know today. Set in the 1940s-60s era, Rocket Boys focuses on how essential it was for India to become a nuclear nation amidst global war threats. The series traces the journey of India’s greatest scientists, who made remarkable achievements in shaping India into a nuclear power. With Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh playing the lead, Regina Cassandra plays Mrinalini Sarabhai, a strong pillar in Dr Vikram Sarabhai’s life.
