Huma Qureshi, Mrunal Thakur To Star In Upcoming Thriller 'Pooja Meri Jaan'

Actors Huma Qureshi and Mrunal Thakur will appear in the upcoming movie Pooja Meri Jaan. Today, the film's creators revealed that it will be a thriller. The story will focus on a girl named Pooja who is being followed by an anonymous man.

The producers announced the movie in a Twitter-shared announcement video. The short clip shared on Twitter shows a text proposal to Pooja, where the anonymous man texts her, "Dear Pooja!, Agar tum haan bol do toh hamara pyar itihaas banjayega. Agar tumne naa bola toh main itihaas ban jaunga" (Dear Pooja!, If you say yes, then our love will become history. If you say, no then I will become history.)

The film has wrapped its shoot as the tweet also read, "HUMA QURESHI - MRUNAL THAKUR: 'POOJA MERI JAAN' FILMING COMPLETE... It's a wrap"

The announcement video further reveals that the film is co-directed by Navjot Gulati and Vipasha Arvind.  It is produced by Amar Kaushik, a filmmaker, and Vijan's Maddock Films. Niren Bhatt is credited with supplementary script and dialogue for Pooja Meri Jaan, which was penned by Kanishka and Gulati. Qureshi and Thakur play Sana and Pooja, respectively, in the "strong drama" that the movie is billed as. The film also stars Vikram Singh Chauhan as Aniket and Vijay Raaz as Jatin.

Huma Qureshi, who had worked with Dinesh Vijan earlier in Badlapur, is set to reunite with Vijan with Pooja Meri Jaan. The actor will also appear in Maharani Season 2. The trailer was released earlier this month, and there has been a lot of hype and anticipation for the new season. Qureshi has a number of releases this year, including Double XL, Monica O My Darling, and Tarla Dalal, in addition to Maharani Season 2.

Mrunal Thakur, on the other hand, will appear in Dulquer Salmaan and Rashmika Mandanna's Sita Ramam in a pivotal role. Sita Ramam will be released on August 5. The actor will also star in Pippa, Gumraah, and Aankh Micholi.

Vikram Singh Chauhan who will be also seen in Pooja Meri Jaan is known for his roles in the television series Jaana Na Dil Se Door, Ek Deewaana Tha, and Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka!. He has also appeared in films like The Perfect Girl, Mardaani 2, and Kesari. Meanwhile, Vijay Raaz was last seen in Janhit Mein Jaari and Shabaash Mithu.
