A streaming platform advertisement featuring Dil Bechara fame Sanjana Sanghi received severe backlash from social media users for promoting violence against men. In the ad, Sanghi is seen slapping her co-actor in order to decide which show to watch on the streaming platform. When Sanghi's co-actor finally asks her to stop hitting after eight slaps, the pair decided to watch the eight-show on the streaming platform.
Actor Pooja Bedi took to twitter to call out the advertisement as she was left "horrified" after watching it. In her tweet she wrote, " Absolutely HORRIFIED to watch this advt. Domestic violence against men is NOT acceptable. What if a man was slapping a woman in this advt? This should NEVER CLEAR an advertising board! #men have rights."

The advertisement was criticised by many others as people called it "insensitive". The Advertising Standards Council of India, which was informed about the ad through Twitter, said, "Thank you for tagging us, we are already processing the complaint against this advertisement."
Surely there are better ways of being funny…While men suffer Emotionally and Legally, this is a sick sadistic behaviour encouraged! While a Woman gets One "Thappad!" It's not OK, but the Man has to sit like a Pet even after getting slapped 8 times!

Because the advertisement showed a man being abused, many twitter users thought it appropriate to drag feminism in the issue. One user wrote, "Surely there are better ways of being funny…While men suffer Emotionally and Legally, this is a sick sadistic behaviour encouraged! While a Woman gets One "Thappad!" It's not OK, but the Man has to sit like a Pet even after getting slapped 8 times!"
Sanjana Sanghi shortly removed advertisement video from her social media after receiving the backlash.
These advertisements clearly show that society is apathetic to men#feminist claim that it’s men’s world stands falsified
