1.Pieces of A Woman is a brutal film that promises to introduce you to the ugly truth about a loss so devastating which is almost taboo in today's time. The 30-minute labour scene of Martha is depicted with a much realistic graphic depiction of home birth ever put on a big screen.

2. The film was premiered worldwide on September 4, 2020. It was released in selected theatres on December 30, 2020.

3. It will stream on Netflix on January 7, 2021.

4. Vanessa Kirby won the Silver Lion Best Actress prize at the 2020 Venice Film Festival for her intensely raw performance depicting a woman whose life is torn apart after losing her baby.

5. Kirby, the English actor who portrayed Princess Margaret in the first seasons of The Crown plays Martha in a role that is alternating between an extremely detached woman as well as an aggressively angry mother for her loss.

6. The story is based on the real-life events of Kata Wéber, who wrote the script based on her own experience after losing a child with the director of the film, Kornél Mundruczó.
