Ranveer Singh’s recent nude photoshoot generated quite a buzz, which left many completely stunned by the actor’s bold pictures. However, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal (PETA) India has now written a letter to the actor requesting him for a similar photoshoot for their upcoming campaign that aims to promote veganism.
In the letter shared by PETA on social media addressing Ranveer to take a cue from their previous celebrity associations like Anushka Sharma, Joaquin Phoenix, Kartik Aaryan, and Natalie Portman to promote veganism.

“Greetings from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, the country’s best-known animal rights group, with more than 2 million members and supporters. We saw your head-turning Paper Magazine photo shoot – and we hope you’ll ditch the pants for us, too,” an excerpt read.
The letter further added, “To promote compassion for animals, will you consider appearing in a nude PETA India advertisement with the tagline ‘All Animals Have the Same Parts – Try Vegan’? and cited an example of actor Pamela Anderson, who earlier in a similar campaign.
Singh continues to make news ever since he bared it all in his photoshoot. Multiple FIRs have been launched against the actor for “hurting the sentiments of women and insulting their modesty through his photographs.”
The actor’s viral photo series for Paper magazine features him nude with well-groomed hair, sitting on a carpet and nonchalantly posing for the camera. The photoshoot is a tribute to ’70s pop icon Burt Reynolds who also went nude in the 1972 shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine.
In his interview with the magazine, where he was dubbed as ‘the last Bollywood superstar’, Singh spoke about baring it all and silently echoing the theme of his photoshoot, “It’s so easy for me to be physically naked, but in some of my performances I’ve been d**n f**king naked. You can see my f**king soul. How naked is that? That’s being actually naked. I can be naked in front of a thousand people, I don’t give a sh*t. It’s just that they get uncomfortable.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Singh will be next seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. It is likely to hit theatres on February 10 next year.
