Tommy Shelby, Elizabeth "Polly" Gray, and Arthur Shelby, the gang's senior members, are played by Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, and Paul Anderson, respectively. Recurring characters include Sam Neill, Annabelle Wallis, Iddo Goldberg, Charlotte Riley, Tom Hardy, Paddy Considine, Adrien Brody, Aidan Gillen, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sam Claflin, and Stephen Graham.

It first aired on BBC Two on September 12, 2013, until the fourth series, when it was relocated to BBC One for the fifth and upcoming sixth series.

The fifth series began on BBC One on August 25, 2019 and concluded on September 22, 2019. According to sources, Netflix obtained the rights to broadcast the show in the United States and around the world as part of a deal between the Weinstein Company and Endemol. In January 2021, it was announced that the sixth series would be the final one, with a spinoff film to follow.

Peaky Blinders season 6 has already aired on BBC, however it will not be available on Netflix in March 2022, as it is one of those odd Netflix shows that airs in many locations.

Season 6 of Peaky Blinders started on BBC One on Sunday, February 27, and the third episode will air on March 13th. However, the season will be released on Netflix on June 10, according to Variety's report. Season 6 is also expected to be the series' final season, despite plans for a film adaptation. In 2023, it is scheduled to begin production.
