Parineeti Chopra's Saina Biopic Leaks Online After Its Release

Saina Leaks: The biopic on badminton player Saina Nehwal released on March 26, 2021. The role of Nehwal has been essayed by actor Parineeti Chopra and has received mixed reactions on her performance.

According to some reports, the film was leaked online just a few hours after it hit the theatres. Many sites which help users to watch pirated versions of original films have been carrying the film since its release. This is not the first time something of this sort happened to a mainstream film as piracy is growing to become an actual cause of concern for the filmmakers. Once the film gets uploaded on a piracy site, the box office numbers get affected as viewers find alternate access to films without actually paying for them.

The film has been creating a buzz since it got announced. At first, the role of Saina Nehwal was to be played by Shraddha Kapoor but was later given Parineeti Chopra. The actor has been updating a lot on social media about the film and the behind-the-scene training sessions. She also took the advice of her cousin and actor Priyanka Chopra who had played the role of boxing champion Mary Kom in her biopic. According to Parineeti, Priyanka asked her to work on the body language of the character which meant for her to embrace Saina Nehwal's body language.

In a collage posted on social media, Parineeti Chopra showed how she had tried to look like Saina Nehwal. On Thursday, the actor posted a picture of herself lunging to hit the cork. She tagged Saina Nehwal and that 'look I tried to lunge like you'. Nehwal was full of praises in her reply.
