Parineeti Chopra On How She Prepared For Her Upcoming Movie Saina

Parineeti Chopra biopic Saina: Actor Parineeti Chopra's Saina, a biopic based on the life of the ace Badminton player Saina Nehwal is all set to hit the screens on Mar 26, 2021.

In a recent interview, the actor opened up about her preparations for the movie. She stated everything starting from how she visited Nehwal's house to prepare for her role to how the player's presence on the sets of the movie would intimidate her.

Parineeti Chopra visited Saina Nehwal's place to get to know her in person. Chopra shared that Saina Nehwal was easily approachable and she answered all her queries. She also said how she would have all sorts of interactions with her regarding her training, fitness and if she was holding the racquet right or not. The actor also mentioned that she wanted to look right for the assigned role and do justice to it.

Saina Nehwal's presence on the set made Parineeti nervous

Chopra recalls that Saina Nehwal's presence on the set of the movie would intimidate her. She knew that she had to double up her training as she was entrusted with the responsibility of playing the sport accurately. Further, she went on to add that if she could play even 1% of what Nehwal plays, she would consider herself fortunate.

Star Cast of Parineeti Chopra's Saina

Not much has been revealed about the star cast of the biopic. However, the names of some actors playing significant roles have been unveiled. Besides Parineeti Chopra as Saina Nehwal, we will see Manav Kaul as Pullela Gopichand. Eshan Naqvi will be playing the role of Parupalli Kashyap and Meghna Malik will be seen in the role of Saina's mother Usha Rani. Subhrajyoti Barat essays the role of Harvir Singh Nehwal and Ankur Vikal plays the part of Jeevan Kumar. The biopic is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series and Front Foot Pictures' Sujay Jairaj and Rasesh Shah. It is directed by Amole Gupte.
