Talking about the new and unique show Dhoop Ki Deewar, that will be streamed on ZEE5 in India, Hasan said it is a reflection of positivity beyond borders, religion or societal biases. “The sole essence of the show lies in the simplicity of its narrative," the director said while opening up about its subject of a cross-border love story.
He went on to add that the writer has dealt with the story differently and has given an underlying message of peace, harmony and joy of life. Meanwhile, Ahmed said Dhoop Ki Deewar draws inspiration from the thought that grief transcends borders and barriers. “No matter which country, religion or belief you belong to at the end of the day the grief lived is the same everywhere and it is much bigger than you and me. It is a story of love, grief and loss that people across borders and overseas can relate to on a human level,” the writer said. He noted that the entire team has put hard work into this show and are hoping for a heartwarming response from the viewers. Read why it is time for Bollywood heroes to Man up here.
