The Oscar Winners 2022 list seems to be dominated by the film Dune, which is directed by Denis Villeneuve. The 94th Academy Awards was live-streamed from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday morning (IST). The award show was hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes.
The most nominated film this year was Jane Campion's The Power Of The Dog. With nominations in as many as 12 categories, it is now the first film by a female director to have so many nominations. Campion's Western drama was followed by Dune, which has 10 nominations in different categories.
This year's awards ceremony has been shortened and the winners for eight categories were announced before the televised program began. These awards included--Animated Short Film, Documentary Short Film, amongst others. Also, the 2022 Honorary Academy Award will be given to Samuel Jackson, Elaine May and Liv Ullmann.
