What’s The Truth Behind A Wedding Photo Featuring Diljit Dosanjh?

The Punjabi superstar, Diljit Dosanjh, has never failed to light up the internet, be it his live videos and funny vlogs on his social media, or his never-stopping antics, from collapsing with international singer SIA to sharing a dinner with popstar Taylor Swift. Recently, Dosanjh won everyone's hearts by making the British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran sing Dosanjh's song 'Lover' in Punjabi while Sheeran was performing for his '-' tour in Mumbai. 

The charismatic singer, Dosanjh has now found himself embroiled in a bizarre internet gossip of having a' secret marriage' after the internet went into a frenzy after an old interview of actress Kiara Advani mentioning Diljit's son resurfaced. This, coupled with a viral photo showing Dosanjh with singer Nisha Bano in wedding attire, fueled rumours of a secret marriage.

Actor-singer Dosanjh  himself hasn't addressed the rumours officially, but the singer, who has been paired up with Dosanjh as his secret wife, has finally broken the silence with a humorous Instagram post rubbishing the claims as she clarified that she is happily married to singer Sameer Mahi.

Nisha Bano, in her Instagram post with slides of several viral news stories on the internet claiming her to be Diljit Dosanjh's wife, and the couple sharing a son wrote a caption where she said: "Hahahaha koi menu v puchlo, mai ave hi wife bnati" She then addressed, "Eh news bhut viral ho rahi n bhut Sare lok menu video n pics tag n share kar rahe but punjabiya nu ta pta k mai @sameermahiofficial di wife aa Bollywood nu kon samjave." Translated as "Somebody must ask me as well before claiming me to be somebody else's wife. This news is going viral, and netizens are tagging me in videos and photographs. Punjabi knows I am the wife of @sameermahiofficial but how do we make Bollywood understand that?"

Bano's social media post cleared the air. She expressed amusement at the situation, pointing out that while Punjabi audiences know her marital status, the rumour seems to have gained traction outside the Punjabi music scene.

The rumours started with a seemingly innocuous detail: an old interview with Kiara Advani during the promotions of the film Good Newz, where she unintentionally referred to Dosanjh having a son, as she claimed she was the only one in the cast with no children. This sparked curiosity among fans, who then unearthed a photo of Dosanjh with Bano, dressed as bride and groom. Reports claiming they were married and even had a child together began circulating.
