Priyanka Chopra Cheers For Nick Jonas' New Film 'The Good Half'; Watch Trailer

The trailer for Nick Jonas' upcoming film, The Good Half, has finally been released. As expected, Priyanka Chopra was among the first to share the trailer on her Instagram Stories, expressing her excitement with a star-eyed emoji and tagging her husband, Nick Jonas.

Directed by Robert Schwartzman, the film features a star-studded cast including Brittany Snow, Elisabeth Shue, Alexandra Shipp, David Arquette, and Matt Walsh. The nearly three-minute trailer begins with a scene on a flight where Zoey, played by Alexandra Shipp, converses with Nick's character, Renn Wheeland. After landing, the two exchanged numbers, setting the stage for a blossoming new relationship.

Upon returning home, Renn meets his sister, Leigh Wheeland (Brittany Snow), and stepfather, Rick Barona (David Arquette). Rick, who wants to console Renn and Leigh after their mother's death, struggles to find the right words. The video then shifts to the siblings preparing for their mother's (Lily Wheeland's) (Elisabeth Shue) funeral. Flashbacks show Renn cherishing moments with his mother, adding emotional depth to the story.

Renn and Leigh also encounter their father, Dareen Wheeland (Matt Walsh), who encourages them to seek "closure and personal growth." The trailer beautifully depicts Renn's journey of building a new relationship with Zoey, coping with his grief, and mending his relationships with his sister, stepfather, and father. The narrative promises to be "a story about love, life, and loss."

Utopia Pictures shared the trailer on YouTube, describing the film as the journey of Renn Wheeland (Nick Jonas) returning home to Cleveland for his mother's funeral. Once there, he forges new relationships while healing old ones, featuring co-stars Brittany Snow, David Arquette, Alexandra Shipp, Matt Walsh, and Elisabeth Shue.

Audiences can look forward to seeing The Good Half in theatres in America on July 23. The film's release will also include an exclusive virtual question-and-answer session with Nick Jonas, allowing fans to engage with the star directly.
