Netrikann movie review: Vignesh Shivan directorial Netrikann starring Nayanthara as Durga has released today directly on OTT. The film will be available in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Nayanthara is playing the role of a visually impaired girl who becomes a witness in a crime. Netrikann in Tamil means the third eye. The film has premiered with much appreciation for Nayanthara who portrays Durga.
The producer of the film Vignesh Shivan spoke about the film that the central character is visually impaired woman, who uses her senses to to track down a serial killer. He believes the story is unconventional and thrilling and the audiences will enjoy the story. It is directed by Milind Rau. Shivan feels the film is special because of the central character who is visually impaired. Durga's use of intelligence and presence of mind makes for a gripping watch.
The role of Durga, the protagonist, has been essayed by Nayanthara. Apart from her, there is Ajmal Ameer, Sharan Shakti and Manikandan R. Achari.

#Netrikann has okay making, mediocre performances (except Manikandan), but it's the screenplay (thanks to the original version BLIND) that kept me invested until the very end after a poor first 35 minutes. Worth a watch.
The film is going to be released on Disney + Hotstar. The film was slated for a theatrical release. However, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the makers decided to release it on OTT directly.
