Don't worry your OG Wednesday gang remains the heart and a part of the show. Around three months back, Netflix also shared a Cast Reveal video which gives a glimpse of the Wednesday homies Jenny Ortega, Steve Buscemi, Catherine Jeta Zones and Lui Guzman.
Jog Down your memory: Wednesday Season 1
The original storyline of Wednesday revolves around 'Wednesday" herself. Wednesday is the name of the single daughter of the Addams family. And did we mention, she is also dark, funny, mysterious and endearing too?
Her life at the Nevermore Academy is very interesting. At this school meant exclusively for teenagers with supernatural powers, she faces challenges, accepts opportunities and learns acceptance. She also discovers the biggest secret about her parents. The show's theme is dark and mysterious but what has set it apart is that the villain and the main lead Wednesday still has endearing and adorable traits that make her likeable to children.
What to expect from Season 2?
When Wednesday Season 2 was announced for renewal, it promised more "torture" than what people have already seen. "(Wednesday) sticks to her guns, and she is not out there to please anyone," says Ortega at Netflix's Tudum Festival 2023.
It's clear the show will offer even more chills. With a new year at the Nevermore Academy, Wednesday may set out to find out more about her new stalker. You may remember the first season ended with her receiving a message from this mystery person.
It has also been revealed that the new season characters will have different magical powers, not seen in Season 1 previously. New villains will also be introduced.
"The new season would still be scary, but also family-friendly," says Ortega. She feels that given kids as young as 6-year-olds are ardent followers of the show the tone must remain a balanced piece of content to be enjoyed by them.
