Netflix February Releases
The Woman King
This American historical drama film stars Viola Davis, Thuso Mbedu, Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and John Boyega in pivotal roles. The movie is based on Agojie, which was the unit of all-female warriors who, during the 17th to 19th centuries, guarded the West African kingdom of Dahomey against dangers. The movie, releasing on Netflix on February 16, features the life of a general who trains the next generation of female warriors.
The Upshaws Season 3
The Upshaws, a working-class African American family from Indiana, are back with a new season of their struggles with life and making everything right giving way to comical incidents. Starring Kim Fields, Khali Daniya Renee Spraggins, Wanda Sykes, Mike Epps and Diamond Lyons in important roles, season three of the show will see the family struggling financially and in life and rethinking their decisions. It releases on February 16.
A Girl And An Astronaut
This upcoming Netflix series will star Daria Polunina, Jedrzej Hycnar, Vanessa Aleksander, Magdalena Cielecka and Grzegorz Damiecki in important roles. The show is about an astronaut who returns back to the world 30 years after his mysterious disappearance. Surprisingly, he has not aged at all, grabbing the attention of a corporation that is trying to find out how that happened and the attention of an old love interest. The show releases on February 17.

This is a Korean thriller movie starring Kim Joo-ryoung, Im Si-wan, Kim Ye-won, Chun Wo-hee and Park Ho-san in pivotal roles. The movie is about a woman who loses her phone one day and is found by a stranger who re-programs the cell phone in a way to keep track of the owner's life. When she gets her lost phone back, strange things start to happening and turning her life upside down. The movie comes to Netflix on February 17.
Ganglands Season 2
This French action drama stars Sami Bouajila, Sofia Lesaffre, Tracy Gotoas, Nabiha Akkari and Sam Kalidi in important roles. The show is about Mehdi, a skilled thief and his gang of expert robbers who go against a Brussels drug lord after Mehdi's niece gets in trouble with them. It is a fight to protect his family from the danger for Mehdi and the season 2 of the show releases on February 17.
The Strays
This upcoming mystery film focuses on the life of a light-skinned Black woman living in a quaint suburban town. She has crafted for herself a life of privilege very meticulously. However, her life begins to crumble and the secrets unravel after two strangers move into the town. The film stars Bukky Bakray, Michael Warburton, Ashley Madekwe, Justin Salinger and Caroline Martin and releases on February 17.
Triptych
Starring Maite Perroni, David Chocarro, Flavio Medina, Ofelia Medina and Nuria Bages in prominent roles, this upcoming Netflix thriller series is about Aleida Trujano, a woman who accidentally founds out that she is one of the three triplets. Unaware of her siblings, she embarks on a journey to discover the truth about her mysterious past and about her siblings. The show releases on February 22.
Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal
This Netflix documentary will be based on a real-life incident centred around South Carolina's prominent family, The Murdaughs. A series of shocking tragedies including a fatal boating accident and the murder of Maggie Murdaugh and her son Paul reveals some dark secrets of the family and bring to light evils like corruption, cover-ups and power. The documentary releases on February 22.
