For the better part of its previous seasons, Emily in Paris has centred on the messy love triangle between Emily (Lily Collins) and her friends, the cool French couple Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille (Camille Razat). Though Emily and Gabriel confessed their desire to be with one another in the finale of Season 3, the reveal that Camille was pregnant with Gabriel’s baby and that she was secretly in love with artist Sofia (Melia Kreiling) seemed to put Gabriel and Emily’s feelings for each other on pause.

But Emily still had reasons to stay. HOT BOYS. "They are everywhere," she quotes. However, after a summery romance, she soon breaks up with her British beau Alfie to finally pursue a romantic relationship with Gabriel after seasons of romantic tension and covert flirtation.

The trailer of the fourth instalment of Darren Star's show hinted at its apparent obsession with the theme of Emily torn between her two lovers among which one is a friendly neighbour-chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and the other being an athletic British charmer Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). Fans are enamoured how the show still instils excitement with each episode circumscribed to Emily’s ‘Live, Love, Laugh and Work’ way of leading life in Paris.

The new season manages to incorporate some ruthless realities of society in the most esoteric way along with humour and love remaining the constant element is a major aspect that makes this season special for the people around, especially women. In those moments in the show when Emily says “Sometimes, you don’t want everyone to know how you’re feeling, and wearing a mask can help you hide it and pretend to be someone else. Someone who isn’t heartbroken,” most of us felt it rightly deep in our hearts. That pretty much sums up how Emily pursued life while believing that “there’s nothing wrong in making the right decisions.”

Sylvie’s hems Between her Marriage and the ‘Right Thing’

It’s fascinating to see how the show delves into another side of Sylvie’s inexpressive personality where she is more affectionate towards her husband by supporting him in his career choices while also making sure to stay bold for herself by taking a stand against Louis who if done wrong otherwise would’ve led to her husband’s club destruction. Later on, Sylvie with her quirky attitude also makes up for her husband by managing his club’s entire launch at the last moment as Louis withdraws his investment after she exposes his wrongdoings. “I'm not a victim. I wanted to tell my own story", she tells her husband.

Emily’s moment in the ‘Grey-Area’

The turning points between Emily's work and life make for an interesting insight into this season too. While bouncing ideas to sell Heartbreak, a crystal heart-shaped perfume for a client, she pitches a masquerade party. And while wearing masks, Gabriel and Emily could not resist but realize how deeply in love they are. So, they hide their identities behind masks and become David and Anna for one night amid other responsibilities that Gabriel is surrounded by. The night marks their will to ‘make it work’ again and embrace their togetherness.

What to expect from Season 4 Part 2?

Sylvie and Antoine will be over for good

Sylvie's character has many layers to her as revealed by previous seasons. The plotline of her being a mistress to Antoine, a married man seemed to put a stamp on it. However, acceptance of her insecurities shaped her into a real person towards the end of Season 3. Frankly, we love that woman.

As seen in Season 4 part 1, the inappropriate relation is majorly broken. But when Antoine reveals how her wife has been charged for divorce, something changes in Sylvie. You could cut the weird sexual tension in the air with a knife. In part 2, we expect her to still keep her distance to come out as the secure woman the show is finally shaping her to be. If a closure-like or intimate scene between the two is seen, it is likely to confuse the audience about what Sylvie thinks. Her character arc will take a turn no one will be able to understand.

Will Gabrielle be single or happily married?

Bad-mouthing a cute French chef? The internet may cancel us, but we will take our chances. His character has always been impulsive and confused. However, his traits are hidden under the facade of him being passionate and deeply in love with Emily nevertheless. As his life has been drooling between Emily and Camille's responsibilities for 35 episodes now. It is hard to predict his future.

To relieve the audience of this to-and-fro ride, the story writers must make him end up with Emily as 'With her is where he belongs'. by the end of the season. Currently, Emily and Gabrielle are together. But we must remind you, Camille is jealous. And Alfie has realized that "maybe he can forgive Emily after all." This is likely to create major havoc in their relationship.

Sylvie's switch from her neurotic to concerned side

The character of Sylvie used to be delightfully neurotic with everything from love to work. Is it just us or has she become mellow? In S4, Sylvie has rethinked her priorities which is great. She has tried to manage her career and her family together. Who knows? But a major shift is definitely in the cards. This will also define her character as the "OG Mean French" yet secretly affectionate boss who is always liked and loved by everyone at the end of the day.

Camille to ultimately end up Single

Camille's character has always been of a selfish woman who has either directly or indirectly tried to create problems in Emily and Gabrielle's lives. She has not even been a good partner to Sofia with whom she was believed to be truly in love. Her character often unfolds in a way where she is in dire need of attention from her close ones especially Gabrielle being the primary prospect. Fans have been eagerly waiting for Emily to reunite with her true love and Camille's interventions should be ended positively in the upcoming episodes.

Mindy to get back with her Ex

As Mindy's character is a bundle of joy with the purest of intentions, her relationship with the rich Chad-Nicolos seems ambiguous and gives fans a 'something is not right' vibe. Meanwhile, her unfathomable chemistry with her fellow singer who was also her ex seems to be inevitable. Hence, the reunion of her simple yet beautiful relationship is awaited rather than the one that is just a flowery pronouncement but is complex from the inside.
