Neha Dhupia Quits Roadies After Being Part Of It For Over 5 Years

Actor Neha Dhupia quit Roadies, a youth-centric reality show after being part of it for over five years. Dhupia first joined the show in 2016. The show, however, has been running for more than 17 years.

Actor and VJ Rannvijay Singha also recently announced his departure from Roadies, and now co-judge Neha Dhupia has announced her exit as well. She stated in an interview that she will not be participating in Roadies this year. She said, “This year, I am not going to be a part of Roadies either. More than me, it’s just heartbreaking to see Rannvijay not being a part of it, and obviously reasons are best known to him and to the network.”

Dhupia also stated that she has always enjoyed the show, with Singha playing a significant role. When asked why she was leaving the show, she said, “Reasons best known to me and the network and Never say never".

As the show prepares for its 18th season, Sonu Sood will make his first appearance as a host on the reality show. Apart from him, there are rumours that the original stars of the show, Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman, may make a comeback as well.

The producers posted a new promo for the show that included Sood. The caption read, "He ( Sonu Sood) is excited for this journey and so are we, Roadies is baar hoga bohot fun aur bohot adventurous bhi."

The actor also shared on his Instagram story, “The journey of MTV Roadies moulds you into a champion for life. The series of challenges are unlike any other as they put you in contention with yourself to see if you fight within to emerge back as a stronger version of yourself. I am truly honoured to be hosting the 18th season of MTV Roadies.”

For those unaware, MTV Roadies is a reality show that airs on MTV India. It premiered in 2003. In this show, a group of contestants go to various locations and compete in various tasks that test their physical, social, and mental strength. There are vote outs, vote ins, eliminations, and game-changing shocks throughout the journey. Ultimately, the participant who survives the vote outs and completes the final assignment is declared the winner. The show has become a hit among the younger generation.
