Neetu Kapoor To Star In New Film With Shraddha Srinath, Sunny Kaushal

Lionsgate India Studios' debut feature film is all set to star Neetu Kapoor, Shraddha Srinath and Sunny Kaushal in leading roles. The yet untitled film appears to be a family drama, offering a fresh take on relationships and comedy.

Neetu Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal will portray a mother-and-son bond in this new coming-of-age story. The film will dive into family dynamics, keeping comedy as its central premise. Director Milind Dhai, known for his film Tu Mera Sunday, will be helming this project at a time when comedy family dramas are doing well with the audience.

Actors Shraddha Srinath and Sunny Kaushal will be seen playing lead roles in the new feature film. Srinath, a popular award-winning actor in the South, is elated to be a part of a family film with a comedy genre as its backdrop. She shared with the media how in these times when the world is watching and crating dark, deep and mind-bending shows, it’s important to also have films focusing on family relationships, heartwarming stories, and the simplicity of life. Srinath’s first release in Bollywood was Milan Talkies alongside Ali Fazal in 2019.

Kaushal, who was last seen in the film Shiddat alongside Radhika Madan, took to his social media account and shared the first look of the film. "The moment I read the screenplay, I knew it was a great film that I just wanted to be a part of. It's a tribute to all moms, their hopes, and their sacrifices! I am excited to be working on this project with Milind sir, Lionsgate India Studios, and Neetu Ji,” he shared. 

Neetu Kapoor stated that the film goes beyond a typical mother-son tone and explores a distinctive aspect, setting a versatile style for the rom-com genre. Kapoor announced her project on her social media account, captioning, "Something fresh and interesting is coming soon from Lionsgate Studios, and I'm pleased and excited to be a part of this captivating experience."

Kapoor, who was last seen in Jugjugg Jeeyo, has been a part of the entertainment industry for several decades now. The actor earned great praise for her role in Jugjugg Jeeyo, a family drama, which starred Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor.

This will be Lionsgate India Studios' first film. The studios have created several shows including Feels Like Home, Hiccups & Hookups and Jugaadistan since last year.
