Vadh: Know All About Neena Gupta-Sanjay Mishra Starrer Thriller

Films made on real-life issues are rarely made. However, as the consumption of content is evolving lately, audiences are also accepting and owing to its relatability and authenticity. One such film on the verge of release is Vadh. The trailer of the film which was released on Tuesday seems super interesting and suspenseful considering its impeccably talented cast members, unique storyline and the thriller content it offers.

Vadh is a heart-wrenching tale of how a humble couple from a middle-class family deals with everyday situations involving low income, managing a household, aspirations and expected circumstance that leads them to commit a crime they could never imagine. Written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Rajeev Barnwal respectively, the film is produced by Luv Films, J Studio and Next Level Productions.

Vadh Trailer Release

The cast and crew of the film took to their social media to share the trailer, announcing the release date for the film. "When the path to survival is a punishment, what will Manju Mishra and Shambhunath do?" wrote Neena Gupta. The film, which will surface the relatable mundane struggles of a middle-class family lovingly called ‘Mishra parivar’ story is not just a family drama. The trailer gave in a hint of how we expect a lot more suspense than we can imagine from a super simple couple played by Neena Gupta and Sanjay Gupta. 

Plot

The story is set in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and the plot explores the life of a retired school teacher Shambhunath Mishra, who lives a simple life with his spouse Manju Mishra, a homemaker. While the trailer did give away the fact that a situation involving a huge amount of loan money will lead to a grave crime committed in the hands of the couple, it will still be interesting to watch what will unfold when that happens.

Cast

The most intriguing part about the film is the super-talented bunch of actors involved in the story. The film features actors Neena Gupta, Sanjay Mishra, Manav Vij, and Saurabh Sachdeva among others. The film is all set to release on December 9 in the cinemas. The production's OTT partner is the streaming site Netflix, hence the film will soon release on the popular platform post the theatrical release.
