Neena Gupta interview on raising Masaba
During an interaction with Times Now, actor Neena Gupta revealed that she would have no shame in doing any job as long as she didn't have to depend upon anybody for money. "I had confidence that I won't ask for my money or anything else. I feel no shame in doing any work and I learnt that from my mother. I would sweep floors, wash dishes but I will never ask anyone for money," said the actor.
Gupta further added that when one is in love, one does not think what will happen next. She never asked her brother, father or any of her friends for any financial help while she was raising Masaba. The Badhaai Ho actor kept on moving from one problem to another in her life without any financial or emotional support.
Masaba is a well known fashion designer. Her mother often flaunts her designs on red carpets and other public events. In one of her latest Instagram posts, she shared an excerpt from Gupta's autobiography Sach Kahun Toh and wrote, "When I was born, my mum had Rs 2000/- in her bank account. A timely tax reimbursement would bump that number up to Rs 12,000/- and of course I was a C-section baby". The designer went on to say that as she reads her mother's biography, she learns the hardships she endured. She also said that she works very hard to ensure that she gets what she deserves so that she can pay her mother back for bringing her into the world...with interest.
